The Grand Masters program has a legacy of promoting the arts of hand engraving and stone setting that spans 20 years.
Launched in 2005 at the GRS Training Center in Emporia, Kansas, this program was founded on the profound belief that creativity flourishes through the exchange of ideas and techniques. It brought together some of the most esteemed engravers from around the world with passionate students, fostering an environment rich in learning and collaboration. The event also offered a weekend of conversation, impromptu demonstrations, and an open showing of work and portfolios.
In its early days, the Grand Masters Program® featured two separate 5-day courses, but it has since evolved into the immersive 10-day experience we celebrate today. Through the years, we’ve embraced change—upgrading our equipment, enhancing our facilities, and expanding our offerings to include stone setting. No other gathering of this caliber exists for sharing and learning. Even though many things have changed, one thing has stayed the same; the program was–and is–dedicated to the art.
GRS Grand Masters
Through the years, some of the world’s greatest engravers and jewelers have come to the GRS Training Center to share their knowledge during the Grand Masters Program.
