The Bond Derringer offers a perfect stepping stone to engraving a whole firearm for the first time. Seasoned veterans can also enjoy the opportunity to engrave this model of gun. The derringer is available in many calibers and barrel lengths. Nearly all models will be eligible for the class from .22 all the way to .410. Students will have several options for engraving. They will be able to select from different patterns and levels designed by the instructor or work on their own design with help and critique from the instructor. Basic cutting and tool sharpening will only be a refresher to allow more studio time. Students will learn how to disassemble and prepare a firearm for engraving, as well as how to finish the completed project. The class does not require gunsmithing skills, but the student must be able to sharpen and use various gravers. Students must have completed a previous firearms engraving class or get prior approval from the instructor to enroll.
Students will be required to fill out a GRS Firearms Agreement and purchase and transport the specified model of gun to class. Please see linked form below, in the prerequisites information section.
