This course offers an exploration of the intricate artistry involved in firearms engraving, focusing on the techniques of deep relief engraved scrollwork, fine shading, sculpted gold overlay, and raised gold beads (time permitting), all applied to a Winchester Model 70 rifle floor plate. In this course, students will create a beautiful piece of functional art through hands-on instruction and guided practice.

Prerequisites
Completion of a GRS Basic Course or instructor approval is required, as well as an understanding of proper tool sharpening and basic engraving techniques.
Graver Sharpening Knowledge:
120° and 105° graver sharpening
