This course provides mid-level training in the skills used in two unique and popular styles of ring engraving. Students will learn, practice, and engrave a flare-cut design on an 8 mm sterling silver women's band as well as execute a deep-relief scroll design on a 10 mm men's band. This course also includes instruction and hands-on practice in design transfer, background removal, scroll shading, and cutting on curved surfaces.
Participants will learn how to set up and use the tools, prepare gravers, execute foundational cuts, and apply techniques consistently and effectively. This course is intended for engravers who are already proficient in engraving and know proper tool sharpening.

Prerequisites
Completion of a GRS Basic Course or instructor approval is required, as well as an understanding of proper tool sharpening and basic engraving techniques.
