Jewelry & Stone Setting
Stock to Finish: Custom Set Ring
$1,650.00

This course provides advanced training in the core skills used in stone setting and fabrication. Students will learn how to fabricate sheets and stock into a ring with a custom, 4-prong tapered head that you can’t buy out of a catalog! This course also teaches soldering techniques, how to use a bezel block, pierce difficult-to-reach areas, make custom gravers for fabrication, set a round brilliant gemstone, and engrave the piece to make it truly unique.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn traditional fabrication, ornamental hand engraving, and advanced stone setting techniques. This course is intended for students who are proficient in stone setting as well as sharpening common graver geometries.

This course is fast-paced. While all elements of the final project piece will be demonstrated, it is possible that it may not be finished during class. Class materials go home with the students, so the project could be completed at home.
