Combination Course for Jewelers
$1,495.00

This course provides an introduction to both the core skills used in basic stone setting and metal engraving with GRS equipment. This fast-paced course will cover engraving concepts at the beginning of the week and stone setting techniques in the last half of the week. Students will work with a range of practice plates, practice rings, and designs to develop control, consistency, and tool handling techniques. This class also includes instruction and hands-on practice in basic wire inlay, instruction on transferring designs onto metal, prong, flush, bead, and channel setting, shading, and background techniques.

Participants will learn how to set up and use the tools, prepare gravers, execute foundational cuts, create widely used settings, and apply techniques consistently and effectively. This course is intended for beginners, those planning to continue into advanced engraving classes, and goldsmiths or other jewelry professionals seeking to broaden their engraving abilities.
