As one of America’s premier gun manufacturers—with over a century of craftsmanship and tradition—Griffin & Howe offers an inspiring environment that perfectly complements the excellence and rigor of GRS instruction. Nestled within the expansive and historic Hudson Farm estate, their workshop provides students with a rare opportunity to learn engraving in a setting that embodies heritage, artistry, and world-class firearm design.
For over 30 years, GRS has led the way in pioneering and continuously enhancing unique training methods. We have integrated these proven techniques into the Griffin & Howe engraving courses to create a seamless and deeply immersive learning experience. By bringing GRS curriculum and GRS-certified instructors directly to Hudson Farm, students gain hands-on access to professional tools, expert guidance, and a truly elevated setting that reflects the highest standards of the engraving profession.
Courses

Located on the grounds of Hudson Farm in Andover NJ, Griffin & Howe is only an hour’s drive from Manhattan and 10 minutes from Lake Hopatcong, easily accessible by several nearby major highways, and features a private helipad for guests
Griffin & Howe features a retail showroom and prestigious Shooting Academy, open to the public from 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week. The Academy has an extensive range of shooting facilities which are widely considered to be some of the finest of their kind, and offers shotgun, rifle, handgun, fishing and archery instruction to all ability levels.
Their new 24,000 sq ft. retail showroom features a selection of the finest firearms, clothing, accessories, fly-fishing and bow hunting equipment and much more. Staff are on hand to assist with hunting and fishing licenses, import/export, consignment and purchasing of firearms, lesson bookings and any other help you may need.
Accommodations
Griffin & Howe has a fully appointed guest house on the property, featuring queen bedrooms each with their own private bathroom. All rooms come with clothing storage space and luggage stands, and are supplied with towels, extra linens and toiletries.
The guest house has a common lounge area with a TV and pool table, and a common kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. There is also a fitness room with treadmill, elliptical, Peloton, TRX cables, adjustable weights and a walk-in sauna.
