This course is tailored for jewelers and engravers looking to add uniqueness to their creations with flare and bright-cut engraving. The techniques covered are designed for rings, bracelets, watches, pendants, and more. With deep sculptural cuts and perfectly polished gravers, you’ll bring added dimension and sparkle to each piece. The first part of the class focuses on techniques ideal for rings and accents to stonesetting. You will learn to bead-and-bezel set stones and apply decorative borders to enhance settings. The second part focuses on crafting bracelets, incorporating decorative borders, ornate piercings, and flare cuts to create unique, one-of-a-kind cuffs adorned with flowers, leaves, and elegant scrolls. - Proper graver preparation for the brightest cuts
- Perfecting cuts for maximum dimension and sculptural effect

Ring (phosphor bronze or brass) and a Copper bracelet
Prerequisites
Completion of a GRS Basic Course or instructor approval is required, as well as an understanding of proper tool sharpening and basic engraving techniques. This intensive class requires students to be skilled in sharpening a range of gravers.
Graver Sharpening Knowledge: 90°, 120°, and flat gravers
