Not often seen on jewelry, sculpting is rich and beautiful, and wears better than flat and shading engraving. It’s especially good for high wear items like rings, but is suitable for any project.

Objectives
- Students will learn background removal producing a deep relief
- Making and texturing sculpting punches for modeling and sculpting
- Finishing both smooth and textured designs
- Learning which shapes of leaves and tendrils are more suitable and sculpting friendly

Prerequisites
Completion of a GRS Basic Metal Engraving course or instructor approval is required, as well as an understanding of proper tool sharpening and basic engraving techniques.
