Exciting changes are coming to Emporia State University! Glendo Corporation, maker of GRS Tools, is collaborating with ESU to provide a brand new studio for the Engraving Arts Program. ESU is the only accredited university in the world to offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Engraving.
Cutting-edge engraving technology from the GRS Tools product line will allow students to create lasting works of art more efficiently. Students will now have access to specially designed workspaces equipped with the GraverMach AT engraving system, providing the choice of hand or foot control. Access to the latest equipment means each person will be able to maximize every moment learning new techniques.
Associate Professor James Ehlers presents students with a wide range of techniques on a variety of media, including printmaking, creating woodcuts, engraving alternative objects, and much more.
Glendo Corporation takes learning a step further with exclusive internships, which are awarded to select Engraving Arts students every semester.
Classes begin January 2014, so stay tuned for updates as ESU and Glendo put the finishing touches on this project.
